A fan coil unit is part of an HVAC system found in commercial buildings that consists of a heating/cooling coil, filter and fan. A fan coil unit is not usually connected to ductwork, and is used to control the temperature in the space where it is installed, or serve multiple spaces. It is controlled by a thermostat assigned to a specific room. EC technology is the established “norm” in the fan coil market, providing high-level efficiency. EC technology allows for the fan speed to be controlled as well, providing reduction in noise levels in sound-sensitive environments such as hotel rooms and offices.
